Post  Pidge on Mon Feb 22, 2010 6:55 am

For those who don't get all their music for free anyway, have a look here. Worth checking back, it's updated every week.

My pleasure.

This should be a thread for posting up any free, legal music downloads. I'm all for filling my BlackBerry memory card with as much new and interesting stuff as I can.

Anyone who likes a bit of screaming should download a free track from the new Deftones album frow www.gunsrazorsknives.com

This one's old so you probably got it already, but if not click here and pick up Dark Night Of The Soul by Dangermouse & Sparklehorse.

It's not hiphop by any stretch, but I think it's a great album, and it's free! Featuring The Flaming Lips, The Pixies, The Strokes, The Stooges, Grandaddy, Super Furry Animals; some of my favourite artists right there.

i use this site for all things house

it has a great menu system to select all genre's of house, then each genre has hours and hours of mixes uploaded by budding dj's, there is an almost endless array of house music on here to either stream or download, its one of the best sites i've found.

you'll need to like house of course

Man I absolutely love that album. That Julian Casablancas track gets stuck in your head, tho.

I think the Iggy and Black Francis tracks are amazing, but maybe seem a bit incongruous when you play the record start to finish.

All in all, though, a work of genius.

Here's a new free mixtape by Sway.

They prefer you to subscribe to get the mixtape, but then they give you a link to go direct, too.

The choice is yours (I subscribed).

Or the direct link...

Mumford & Sons are one of my favourite new bands - their album is a classic in my opinion.

This in only a cover they've done of a Vampire Weekend track and it not their best work, but it's free nonetheless.

Here.

Here's a live version of UNKLE's Lonely Souls.

You're supposed to join an email list to get this, so I did, but this is the direct address so you don't have to.
