Who's heard this album?

I've heard snippets from HHV, interesting stuff. I'm surprised another album has come out so soon after Fun DMC though. I think I'll need to cop the LP and give it a couple of listens before I can make my mind up.

I went on a hunt for a physical copy. Hit up Target and Wal-Mart, but had no luck. Will go to Best Buy tomorrow. Want a physical copy for the goodies included in the cd.

I Have checked the new puts album,and for me,i think its a real nice album...its like they have gone back to the late 70s when hip hop started in a few of there tracks...like disco style....
But once a puts fan..allways a puts fan...not like pipez....hehehe...i like it...and cant wait for the tour....

Haven't heard the new album, but I feel I should have a say. For my money, "Stepfather" may be the greatest hiphop album of all time. There, I've said it.

there is alot wrong with that statement.

on their new album, the beats are all pitapatter, i just dont get it.
i know for a fact that peeps tell me love them, but they hardly ever listen to them. this year ive heard 50 albums better than this, and johnny, you even admitted (off the record) this isnt the best hip hop youve heard.

it almost makes me think, that to like people under the stairs is more 'cult' than quality, its cool to say you love the peoples.

i wish you guys would be honest on this one

I just got it. After going to two Best Buys. I'm listening to the album right now....

Allright. So, I've been listening to the album for two days now, and I've gotta say that 'Carried Away' is funner than 'Fun DMC.' I'm not saying it's a better record than "Fun DMC,' but that there are more songs on 'Carried Away' that really emphasize having 'fun,' such as 'Beer' and 'Trippin at the Disco.' On top of that, they include a gameboard.

I still believe that O.S.T. and Stepfather are the best albums PUTS has put out. But, I do think 9 of the 17 on songs on 'Carried Away' are O.S.T./Stepfather quality. Stepfather and O.S.T. are two of the best hip hop albums of all time and 'Carried Away' is one of the top albums of this year.
... and ya don't stop!

Love the gameboard in the CD sleeve. Gotta give that a go one day.

Album is sweet too.

Hmm Stepfather and OST are my favourite albums, Stepfather is an album I can listen to over and over as I just love the complexity of the tracks. From listening to the new album, I can't exactly say the same. There are 5 or so tracks which I love but the rest aren't up to Thes' usual standard (of intricate long samples) these are really chopped up small segments looped over and over and it feels more repetitive than most sampled based hip-hop. I feel this album even though it is good, was rushed out too soon after Fun DMC.

I have to admit Pipez this seems wrong I don't know of anyone on here who would say they like a group just to be cool or anyone else as a matter of fact. Though that is from my experience but I'm hoping there is no-one on here who is that shallow!
