de la soul - impossible mission operation japan
surprised me, i aint subscribed to de la for at least 15 years, but this is really solid, hats off fellas
The thing is, you listen to that first track recorded during the "...is dead" sessions and realise how great they were, then at the end you hear them slagging themselves off and saying how much better they are now. Just seems so wrong when they were so great and they're now so... um... average?
lol i know, after every old track, theyre slagging the track off like they hate it, then they say the next 'new' track is dope, lol, they still dont get it

DJ Do You.
I know nothing about him [/her]. I found it on YouTube and had a listen, then found the site, only to find he [/she] has a big bunch of free downloads (I guess by 'giving' the music away, you avoid all the legalities & all that muck).
There's a couple of [free/legit] mixtapes and the mashups are a bit of fun.

Re: What's new
I've got all Easy Star All-Stars CD's. Dub Side Of The Moon is brilliant in it's own right, even down to the jungle techno version of On The Run (Pink Floyd is my all time fave band). Radiodread and Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Dub Band are still great, with some awesome guest appearances, but they just don't have quite the same impact as Dub Side for me.
What's the new Faithless like? I used to absolutely love them, but I didn't even bother getting their last studio album. I kinda went off them after Outrospective; I didn't hate the album at all, I just found it didn't last long.

hip hop
well i am biased cuz i cant get enough of faithless, but this album reminds me of their banging stuff, very dancy most of the way through.
there is no 'music matters' 'insomnia' or god is a dj' standout track, well maybe there is, i just think the whole album stands out, get it, its great

Re: What's new
MF Doom, Papermill.
http://www.adultswim.com/promos/201005_kia/index.html
The German break sounds awesome, it's ruined by MF Doom's flow which is completely off and it sounds like he has put no effort into it.
A pity overall.

Re: What's new
Fashawn just released a free mixtape - An Ode to Illmatic where he rhymes over the illmatic beats.
Download here:

Anyone who hasn't heard off him, he's from California and released a real good album last year produced by Exile called Boy Meets World. You should check it out.
